Premise: Spanning from the late 1970's to the early 1990's, this is the story of the Manchester music scene, as seen by the founders of Factory Records, which launched the successes of Joy Division (later, New Order), James and Happy Mondays. The later years include the Hacienda, the venerable music club that became the focal point of the "Madchester" late 80's scene. Factory Records shut down in 1992; the Hacienda, in 1997.
Filming: Production started on this movie in late January, 2001 in Manchester, England, and is scheduled to wrap 7 weeks later in late March.
